Recently I was talking with Fr. Paul D. Seil, host of Our Daily Bread, and he remembers going camping with his family and having a wonderful time. He also remembers making pizza in a pie-iron, which for all us non-campers is like a wrought iron sandwich machine on a long wrought iron pole which is then placed in the middle of your camp fire, hence cooking whatever is between the medal plates.
So while we were in our "camping" mode, we decided to invite some scouts onto the show to share not only their delicious camping recipes but also a glimpse into what it means to be a girl or boy scout. So, tune into Our Daily Bread, Saturday September 11, at 5:30 a.m. and noon on WKBW-TV Ch. 7. After the show remember to go to the web site at www.odbtv.org for the day’s recipes which will be Fr. Paul’s Fish in Foil (we couldn’t find a pie iron) from the Boy Scouts – Lemon Lime Soda Apple Dumplings and from the Girl Scouts – Tagalong Milkshakes.
Next time you are on Facebook check out the Daybreak page and "like’ us. When you do this you’ll get posts about Our Daily Bread, the projects that Daybreak TV is working on and even some spiritual information.
